The 2012 Annual Meeting of the China National Association for International Studies

On December 25th 2012, the 2012 annual meeting of the China National Association for International Studies, with the theme of “China’s Diplomacy: Opportunities, Challenges and the Way Out”, was grandly held in the Presidential Hotel Beijing. The meeting was attended by over 70 experts and scholars from professional research institutes such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institute of International Studies and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, as well as institutions of higher learning such as China Foreign Affairs University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Jilin University and Nankai University. MFA Party Committee Secretary and Executive Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao attended the working dinner and gave a speech. Ambassador Zhao Jinjun, Executive Deputy Chairman of China National Association for International Studies and President of CFAU, delivered a report on the work of the Association in 2012. In a multitude of forms such as keynote speech and topical discussion, the attending experts and scholars had lively and in-depth academic exchanges on the current international situation and China’s Diplomacy and achieved fruitful results. This year’s annual meeting lasted one day and came to a close in the evening after all the agenda items were finished.
