China National Association for International Studies, founded in 1980, is an important nationwide academic group and national institute. Our objectives are academic exchanges, theoretical research and consulting. 

China National Association for International Studies concentrates the first-class experts and scholars from national universities and research institutions who engage in research and teaching of international relations. Both our institute and the secretariat are located at the China Foreign Affairs University. It has been playing an important and crucial role in promoting the development of China National Association for International Studies for more than 30 years since its foundation. The annual meeting of our institute is an important meeting of scholars in the field of international relations, serving as an academic exchange platform.

At present, the research of international relations in China is entering a new period of development. China National Association for International Studies expects to strengthen cooperation and professional research, build a new platform for the exchange of ideas and promote mutual understanding among people with related academic institutions and experts and scholars all over the world.

China National Association for International Studies integrates the academic power among the whole country, and attracts dozens of famous universities with the majors of international relations, international politics and diplomacy and major research institutions to become its members. Those members include Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, China Foreign Affairs University, National Defense University PLA China and other famous universities in China and the Department of Policy Research in Central Foreign Affairs Office, Department of Policy Planning in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China Institute of International Studies, Chinese Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Institute for International Studies and other important research institutes in China.
