On December 27^th 2013, the 2013 annual meeting of the China National Association for International Studies, with the theme of “The International Situation and China’s Diplomacy in the New Era”, was held in Beijing. State Councilor Yang Jiechi attended the meeting and gave a lecture. MFA Party Committee Secretary and Executive Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. Ambassador Zhao Jinjun, Executive Deputy Chairman of China National Association for International Studies and President of CFAU, delivered a report on the work of the Association in 2013. The meeting was attended by over 100 experts and scholars from research institutes such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institute of International Studies and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, as well as institutions of higher learning such as China Foreign Affairs University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Jilin University and Renmin University of China. In a multitude of forms such as topical lecture, keynote speech and free discussion, the attending experts and scholars had lively and in-depth academic exchanges on the current international situation and China’s diplomacy. This year’s annual meeting has been one among those of the highest standards over the years since its inception and has been a complete success.
