The Department of Graduate Studies of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), as the administrative body responsible for degree programs and graduate education, oversees admissions, education, records management, degree administration, and employment of all master’s and doctoral students at CFAU. The Department is currently headed by the Director, the Secretary of the Party Branch Secretary, and the Deputy Directors, and consists of three section-level offices: the Admissions Office, the Office of Education and Degrees, and the Office of Records and Employment, as well as counselor positions.
Until now, CFAU holds one first-level doctoral degree program in Political Science, and five first-level master’s degree programs in Political Science, Foreign Languages and Literature, Theoretical Economics, Law, and National Security Studies, as well as four professional Master’s degree programs in Translation and Interpreting, Laws, Finance, and International Affairs.
CFAU currently employs over 140 full-time graduate supervisors, including approximately 20 doctoral supervisors. It has also appointed more than 60 part-time off-campus supervisors for professional degrees and over 30 distinguished professors, who contribute to degree program development and graduate education. In recent years, CFAU has enrolled an average of about 40 doctoral students and over 400 master’s students annually. At present, the total number of enrolled graduate students exceeds 1000, including more than 100 doctoral students and over 900 master’s students.
