Course Design
For students in their freshman year and sophomore year, we offer language courses that foster students’ basic language skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking and translating.
Courses for juniors and seniors are interdisciplinary and are divided into two categories. Courses in the first category are language courses and courses of cultural studies. Courses in the second category aim at helping students gain wide-ranging knowledge of diplomacy. Such courses as international politics, international relations, international law, international economics and trade belong to this category.
In the meantime, students are required to choose selective courses on cultivation of humanistic qualities, and are expected to choose courses that are cross-campus and cross-disciplinary.
Students earn the degree Bachelor of Arts (BA) after they satisfy all degree requirements.
In the meantime, students in their second year can study for a double major in diplomacy, law, international economics and trade or finance in CFAU, and earn bachelor's degree with a double major after they complete studies for a double major.
