On September 2, 2026, President Gao Fei met with Ashok Mirpuri, Head of International Policy and Governance at Temasek Holdings of Singapore. Ou Minggang, Dean of the School of International Economics, Associate Professor He Min, and Ma Xinyu, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, among others, were present at the meeting.

President Gao welcomed Mr. Ashok and his delegation, briefly introduced the University's educational situation and, upon request, elaborated on China's recent foreign policy, the impact of geopolitics on teaching and research, and China's efforts to build a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for humanity.

Mr. Ashok introduced Temasek's global investment portfolio, investment strategy and considerations.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues of common concern including China-U.S. relations and China-ASEAN cooperation, and explored possible future cooperation in student internships and joint research.
