On the morning of October 9, Secretary Wang Shiting and President Gao Fei led a team to inspect the series of summer renovation projects at the Zhanlan Road campus and unveiled the newly opened multi-function self-study room. All university leaders, staff of relevant functional departments, and representatives of teachers and students attended the event.

In his remarks at the unveiling ceremony, Secretary Wang Shiting said that during this summer the University seized the construction window period to coordinate multiple renovation projects at the Zhanlan Road campus, comprehensively upgrading campus functions for study, activities and service support. This is both a vivid practice of the University in establishing and practicing a correct view of performance, and a concrete embodiment of its student- and faculty-centered educational philosophy.

In terms of expanding study space, the University simultaneously completed the renovation of the multi-function self-study room, the underground self-study room in the student dormitory, and Room 423 of the Main Building as a multi-function classroom, adding 300 self-study seats and effectively expanding space for students' study and activities. In terms of upgrading services, the renovation of the canteen's covered walkway was completed smoothly, the renovation of the International Exchange Center advanced simultaneously, and a number of guest rooms, meeting rooms and the executive lounge were refurbished, comprehensively enhancing the campus's service support capacity.

Going forward, the University will continue to focus on the central task of talent cultivation, respond to the actual needs of teachers and students, constantly improve basic conditions for running the University, and continuously advance the quality upgrading of campus infrastructure, providing solid hardware support for cultivating reserve diplomatic talent with strong political integrity and professional excellence.
