The monograph "Research on the Direction, Efficiency, and Risk Prevention of Chinas OFDI under the Belt and Road Initiative" by Associate Professor Fu Shaojun from the School of International Economics was published by Economic Science Press in May 2022. With over 260,000 words, the book primarily focuses on empirical research, integrating qualitative and quantitative methods for theoretical analysis and empirical studies. The research methods employed include preferred statistical and econometric models such as panel data fixed effects models, panel stochastic frontier models, and structural vector autoregression models. It explores the influencing factors of Chinas direct investment in Belt and Road countries from multiple perspectives and proposes strategies for achieving high-quality and sustainable development in Chinas direct investment along the Belt and Road . This book enriches the theory of direct investment in Belt and Road countries and provides references for related research on the Belt and Road.
Associate Professor Fu Shaojun graduated from the School of Statistics at Renmin University of China in 2011 with a Ph.D. in Economics. He has taught courses such as "Statistics," "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics," "Statistical Software Applications," "Financial Statistics," "Mathematical Statistics and Data Science," and "Western Economics" for undergraduate students, and "World Economic Statistical Analysis" and "Applied Statistical Software" for graduate students. His main research interests include international trade and investment, quantitative economics, economic diplomacy, and financial data analysis. Currently, he is leading a general project funded by the National Social Science Foundation: "Research on the Impact Mechanism and Implementation Path of Dynamic Optimization Layout of Chinas OFDI under the New Pattern of Dual Circulation " (21BGJ042). He has also completed a project funded by the Beijing Social Science Foundation with an "Excellent" rating, as well as several university-level projects at the Diplomatic Academy. He has published over 50 academic papers in domestic and international journals, including "The Impact of Host Country Government Governance on Chinas OFDI Location Choice: An Empirical Analysis Based on Data from 59 Countries Along the Belt and Road " and "Research on the Impact of National Political Risk Factors on Chinas OFDI: An Empirical Analysis Based on Data from 54 Countries Along the Belt and Road ." He has also authored "Six Sigma Quality and Statistical Process Control" and "Chinas Foreign Trade and Its Impact: A Statistical Econometric Analysis."Analysis: Based on the background of trade and investment integration, several academic monographs such as "Analysis of the Background of Trade and Investment Integration" have been published.
