According to the "Notice of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission on the Announcement of the 2022 Selection Results for High-Quality Undergraduate Courses and Textbook Courseware" (Jing Jiao Han [2022] No.394), Dr. Wang Caixias "Calculus" course from the School of International Economics was awarded the title of "High-Quality Undergraduate Course" in 2022 by Beijing universities. Meanwhile, Associate Professor Cui Shaozhongs "History of Economic Thought (English-taught)" and Dr. Cui Yuejuns "Political Economy" textbook courseware were recognized as "High-Quality Undergraduate Textbook Courseware" in the same year.

Dr. Wang Caixias Calculus course serves as a foundational required course for first-year undergraduates in the International Economics and Trade program, Finance program, and International Organizations and Global Governance program at the School of International Economics, Diplomatic Academy. Designed to cultivate students abstract thinking, rigorous logical reasoning, spatial imagination, mathematical computation, and problem-solving skills through mathematical frameworks, this core course in economics and management integrates fundamental calculus concepts with diverse economic theories and practices. The curriculum aligns with the postgraduate mathematics syllabus, incorporating ideological and political education to seamlessly connect academic knowledge with civic awareness. Teaching combines blackboard instruction with multimedia presentations, supplemented by online learning platforms like the universitys digital classroom and national-level quality courses. Faculty members actively utilize WeChat, WeCom, and Tencent Meeting to address student inquiries promptly. The course has achieved excellent teaching outcomes and received high praise from students.

In addition to teaching Calculus, Professor Wang Caixia also instructs undergraduate courses such as Linear Algebra and graduate courses including Financial Data Mining and Analysis. In March 2022, her translated work Probability and Statistics: A Data Science Perspective was published by China Machine Press. In 2019, Professor Wang led a team that participated in the 11th National College Students Mathematics Competition, winning one national first prize, four second prizes, and two third prizes. Since 2018, she has actively organized academic competitions like the American Collegiate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (ACM) and the Interdisciplinary Modeling Competition (IMC), while also providing extensive support in student training and mock competition evaluations. The 2022 IMC attracted nearly 30,000 teams from over 1,000 universities worldwide, with more than 80,000 students competing in this highly competitive event. Our institutes 17 teams achieved remarkable success, securing one international first prize, four second prizes, and twelve third prizes, marking a new milestone in the competitions history.

The courseware of Associate Professor Cui Shaozhongs "History of Economic Thought (English-taught)" incorporates the latest theoretical achievements of the Sinicization of Marxism—the methodological essence of Xi Jinpings Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and its economic thought—integrating ideological and political education with professional knowledge organically. It systematically consolidates the diversity of economic thought and the analytical thinking of different economic schools. The distinctive and innovative feature of this courseware also lies in its "English-oriented" characteristic. This course is entirely taught in English, enabling students to effectively enhance their professional English proficiency while learning professional knowledge.

The course "History of Economic Thought (English-taught)" boasts a long-standing teaching tradition, having been delivered entirely in English for three years with excellent outcomes. In August, October, and November 2020, Professor Cui Shaozhong was invited by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee to deliver lectures titled "Balancing Pandemic Control and Socioeconomic Development" for ruling party delegations from Rwanda, Liberia, and Malawi, respectively. These lectures were tailored to the course content, actively supporting the Party and states diplomatic strategies. By applying theoretical knowledge to practice, the lectures played a positive role in promoting Chinas pandemic response policies and enhancing its international image.

Dr. Cui Yuejuns "Political Economy" courseware is primarily developed based on "Das Kapital" and "Introduction to Marxist Political Economy" (Marxist Project textbooks). The courseware is structured into five key sections: the relationship between politics and economics, labor value theory, surplus value theory, capitalist operation theory, and historical trends of capitalist development. In terms of presentation, it combines mind mapping and color-based teaching methods, featuring dynamic color transitions, animated demonstrations, and systematic theoretical frameworks. Since its implementation in 2019, the courseware has undergone multiple revisions and improvements, available in Chinese, English, and bilingual versions. It incorporates rich multimedia content including animations and edited videos, along with chapter-specific knowledge networks and mind maps, receiving positive feedback in actual teaching. Dr. Cuis student-centered approach, clear teaching logic, and approachable language, combined with effective blended learning that integrates online and offline instruction, have earned widespread acclaim from students.

In addition to "Political Economy", Professor Cui Yuejun also teaches undergraduate courses such as "Socialist Political Economy" and "China Economics (English-taught)", as well as graduate courses like "Reading Capital". In March 2022, the course "Political Economy" was selected as a Beijing Model Course for Ideological and Political Education.

Faculty members at the School of International Economics prioritize teaching excellence, consistently enhancing educational quality. The program has earned recognition through Beijing municipal initiatives in educational reform and curriculum development, while making groundbreaking strides in program advancement. In 2021, the International Economics and Trade program was designated as a National First-Class Undergraduate Program by the Ministry of Education. In April 2022, its Masters program in Finance received professional accreditation from the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute and joined the CFA Institute University Alliance. Moving forward, the School will deepen disciplinary expertise, strengthen academic development, and elevate the caliber of cultivating globally competent professionals.
