Recently, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced the list of construction sites for national and provincial first-class undergraduate majors of 2019. The Diplomacy Major, as well as the English and International Studies Major are ranked as national level construction sites, and the International Law Major as a provincial level construction site.

In accordance with MOE and Beijing Municipal Education Commission’s notification and requirements, since April 2019, CFAU has focused on qualifying as national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The successful results fully demonstrate CFAU’s steadfast and coordinated integration of overall planning of major construction with our university’s characteristics. It also marks the university’s significant achievements in deepening the comprehensive reform of undergraduate education, transforming and upgrading traditional majors and forging first-class majors with CFAU’s characteristics.

In future, the university will take the construction of first-class disciplines as an opportunity to improve planning for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors. CFAU will also strive to continuously improve the overall speciality arrangement, enrich the contents of teaching and upgrade the level of construction, enhance the support for major development, and promote the quality of major construction. Led by new thoughts, ideas, technologies, methods, standards, and systems, our university will continue reform of education and teaching, improve the training of talents and promote the formation of a superior system of talents cultivation.
