On June 18, Wang Shiting, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the University, chaired a special study session of the theoretical study center group of the Party Committee, promptly conveying and studying the guiding principles of the National Symposium on Party Building Work and, in light of the University's educational reality, studying and arranging implementation measures.

At the session, Deputy Secretary Zhou Li led the study of the symposium's official readout. Members of the leadership team exchanged views in light of their respective responsibilities, unanimously agreeing that, based on the University's positioning, they would treat the symposium's guiding principles as an important political task of the moment and grasp it firmly and earnestly, leading diplomatic talent cultivation and all 'Double First-Class' development work with high-quality Party building.

Secretary Wang Shiting made arrangements for the university-wide study and implementation:

First, organize comprehensive study at all levels. Relying on the 'three meetings and one lecture' system, each Party branch should organize Party members to study the symposium's guiding principles promptly, conduct exchanges and discussions in connection with their posts, achieve full coverage of Party-member study, and advance theoretical study in depth and substance.

Second, coordinate key study tasks in an integrated manner. Advance the study of the symposium's guiding principles together with the study and education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance and the inspection rectification work; calibrate the orientation of work with the requirements for exercising Party governance; optimize the cadre assessment and evaluation mechanism; emphasize solid work and real results; and eliminate formalism.

Third, promote the deep integration of Party building with university operations. Based on the distinctive features of diplomatic disciplines, integrate Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building into the building of the independent knowledge system and the whole process of classroom teaching; earnestly strengthen teacher ethics and conduct and discipline education; implement the 'Diplomatic Iron Army: Passing the Torch' program; and cultivate qualified reserve diplomatic talent.

Fourth, consolidate responsibilities for Party governance across the whole chain. Continue to advance the standardization of Party branches; tighten the Party Committee's principal responsibility, the leadership team's 'one post, two responsibilities,' and the discipline inspection commission's supervisory responsibility; keep a close eye on key areas; carry out warning education on a regular basis; and hold firm the ideological security front.

The session required that Party organizations at all levels of the University integrate study, thinking and application, and unify knowledge, conviction and action, earnestly translating study outcomes into the effectiveness of running the University, leading the high-quality development of China Foreign Affairs University with high-quality Party building and serving the cause of major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.
