On 3rd September 2019, President Xu Jian met with Ambassador Shi Yanhua, Honorary Chairman of Wu Jianmin Foundation, and her delegation. Vice-President Li Hongmei attended the meeting.

Ambassador Shi Yanhua extended her gratitude towards CFAU for strongly supporting the Foundation in the past two and a half years as its strategic partner. She added that the cooperation was especially successful in that the two key International Youth Visit Programs -- French Youth Visit Program and “Experience the United Nations” -- gained a profound reputation at home and abroad, which played a positive role in cultivating a new generation of multilateral Chinese diplomatic talents. She expressed her expectation of enhancing the cooperation between the Foundation and CFAU with continuous innovation in the cooperating mode.

President Xu fully affirmed the cooperation between CFAU and the Foundation and expressed his strong support for deepening their cooperation. Xu stated that the demand for international talents is growing sharply while China is playing an increasingly important role in the international arena. CFAU has considerable advantages in cultivating inter-disciplinary diplomatic talents who are politically reliable, professional and proficient in foreign languages, and it will shoulder the mission. Xu expressed his hopes that CFAU and the Foundation would broaden and deepen their cooperation to make more significant contributions to the major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
