Director of Tunisian Diplomatic Institute for Training and Studies Visits CFAU


On December 7, 2018, Ambassador Mondher Dhraief, director of the The Diplomatic Institute of Training and Studies of Tunisia and his delegation visited CFAU, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Dhia Khaled, Tunisian Ambassador to China. Professor Wang Fan, vice  president of our university, accompanied by Wu Xiaoping, director of the Foreign Affairs Office, met with the delegation.

Wang Fan extended a warm welcome to Mondher Dhraief and his delegation and gave a brief introduction to CFAU. Mondher Dhraief said that he was very glad to have the opportunity to visit CFAU and hoped to develop exchanges and cooperation with CFAU in diplomatic training, Chinese and Arabic courses.


Wang commented that Tunisia is a country with an important strategic position. From Tunisia we can learn about Africa, the Mediterranean and the Arab world. From the perspective of history and future development, China attaches great importance to developing a strategic cooperative partnership with Tunisia. Our university attaches great importance to exchange and cooperation with TDITS. President Mondher Dhraief expressed his hopes that CFAU can provide support and help for TDITS in the setting of Chinese professional courses, and that cooperation with CFAU in other areas can also be strengthened.

After the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation between China and Tunisia's diplomatic colleges and exchanged the documents, marking the official launch of cooperation between China and Tunisia's diplomatic colleges.
