On June 23, 2026, China Foreign Affairs University held its 2026 graduation ceremony and degree conferment ceremony at the Shahe campus. Attending leaders included Wang Shiting, Secretary of the CPC Committee; Gao Fei, President; Sun Jisheng, Vice President; Li Hongmei, Vice President; Zhang Jian, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and full-time Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission; Zhou Li, full-time Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee; and Shi Yi, Vice President. President Gao Fei presided over the ceremony.

In his remarks, Secretary Wang Shiting encouraged the students to hold fast to their original aspirations and keep the nation in heart, becoming patriots with great vision and great breadth of mind; to persevere in learning and cultivate solid skills through hard work, becoming strivers with real ability and strong confidence; and to walk toward the light and uphold their character, becoming light-chasers with warmth and integrity. Secretary Wang urged everyone to act on the youthful pledge of young diplomats in the new era — 'the Party can rest assured; the strong nation has me' — and hoped the students would have both warmth in dealing with others and integrity in upholding principles, both the inclusiveness to embrace the world and the firmness to guard the bottom line.

President Gao Fei advised the graduates: stand firm in your positions and meet the changes of the world with composure; keep a level mind and treat setbacks as classrooms for growth; keep the world in heart and contribute your youth to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. He affectionately reminded the students that 'though the road ahead is long, it will be reached by walking on.' President Gao wished the Class of 2026 that wherever they may travel across mountains and rivers, there will always be light in their hearts and a path beneath their feet.

The ceremony officially began with the solemn national anthem, as all teachers and students stood and sang.

Secretary Wang Shiting presented the flag to the 28th Postgraduate Volunteer Teaching Corps.

President Gao Fei, Chair of the University's 16th Academic Degrees Committee, read the 'Decision on Conferring Degrees on the 2026 Graduates of China Foreign Affairs University.'

All university leaders presented honorary certificates successively to representatives of Beijing's outstanding graduates, representatives of CFAU's outstanding graduates, and representatives of graduates with outstanding undergraduate theses.

In her speech, faculty representative Ms. Wang Min expressed the hope that the students would always maintain 'consciousness' — protecting body and mind to go far and steady, being pragmatic and down-to-earth to stand firm in the world, holding on to character to live up to being human, and keeping family and country in heart to bravely shoulder their mission.

Graduate representative Dou Wei expressed gratitude for the growth bestowed by the alma mater — diplomacy is not only a profession but also a flame passed down deep in the spirit. People of CFAU take loyalty as their heart, act with responsibility, compete on ability, and stand on discipline, carrying forward the ever-living spirit of the diplomatic iron army.

Traveling a thousand miles, never forgetting the teachers' kindness. Graduate representatives presented flowers to university leaders on the rostrum and to representatives of their supervisors.

Full-time faculty and counselors sent their blessings to the graduates in song.

Amid colorful confetti, the 2026 graduation ceremony of China Foreign Affairs University came to a grand close.

The degree conferment ceremony was held in the auditorium. University leaders presented graduation certificates and degree certificates to the graduates, and turned the tassel for each graduate.

Youth never ends; it is the very time to chase dreams. May the Class of 2026 carry the confidence and responsibility bestowed by CFAU, take loyalty as their sail and hard work as their oar, and sail toward their own seas of stars amid the tides of the times. No matter how far you go, your alma mater will always be the warmest coordinate when you look back.
