On the afternoon of April 18, 2018, the awards ceremony for the “National University Huang Da’nian-style Teachers’ Teams” was held at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Representatives from 27 domestic first-class universities attended the ceremony, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Beihang University and China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU). Associate prof. Chen Xuefei from the Department of Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs Management (DDFAM) was in attendance.  

This meeting was held to encourage and praise the first group of 201 professors who were committed to organizing Huang Da’nian-style teachers’ teams. With the support of CFAU and the concerted efforts made by all faculty members, key disciplines’ teachers’ team of CFAU won the honor.

At the meeting, teachers from National Research Center for Foreign Language Education of BFSU, Forests Management of Beijing Forestry University, and Materials Science and Engineering of Beihang University shared their experience in discipline innovation and the building of teachers’ teams.

In his speech, Wang Dinghua, minister of the Department of Teacher Education of the Ministry of Education of the P.R.C, stressed that professors in universities should take professor Huang Da’nian as a model, promote the building of teachers’ teams featuring high quality, professionalism and innovation, a solid foundation for accelerating the building of “Double First-Class Project,” and quality development. The focus should also be on developing technical contents and innovative methods of higher education.
