From April 13th to April 15th, 2018, the RUCMUN was held at the Renmin University of China. Nine representatives from China Foreign Affairs University took part in the competition, ultimately winning two Best Delegation awards, one Best Delegate award, and one Outstanding Delegation award.

With the theme, “New Age, New World, New Youth,” RUCMUN promoted young students’ in-depth understanding and critical thinking of international issues. The event hosted three Chinese venues, two English venues, one regular news center, and a linkage news center.  Invited to attend the  opening ceremony were Professor Liu Wei, President of Renmin University of China, Mr. Jia Bo, Vice Minister of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Youth League, Mr. Sun Qian, Representative of the United Nations Development Program in China, and Professor Yang Guangbin, Dean of the School of International Relations at Renmin University of China.

In the three days of heated debate and discussion, our  students, with their wealth of knowledge, excellent language skills, and solid document writing skills, demonstrated their flexibility in dealing with complex issues and crisis management. Sun Demiao, Wang Yuhan, Zhang Qian, Zhao Yushu won the Best Delegation Award; Chen Yuan  the Best Delegate Award; Li Muqing, Pang Yanyu, the Outstanding Delegation award. The students are all from the Department of English and International Studies, with the exception of Sun Demiao, who is from the Department of Diplomacy.
