The East Asian Model United Nations Conference 2018 (EAMUNC 2018) was held at the Hengqin Campus of the University of Macau from March 30th-April 2nd, 2018. Seven delegates participated in the event on behalf of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and were honored with Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, Honorable Mention, Best Position Paper, and Excellent Delegation awards. 

Hosted by the University of Macau, the EAMUNC 2018, which consisted of three Chinese committees and an English one, attracted more than a hundred delegates from both home and abroad. Qin Qian, Secretary of CFAUMUN and a student from the Department of Foreign Languages and International Studies, CFAU, and Du Zedong, President of CFAUMUN and a student from the Department of English and International Studies, CFAU, took part in the preparation work as Chairs of the conference.

During the four-day conference, as members of the Model United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), CFAU delegates held discussions and negotiations with other members on women empowerment and disaster response. CFAU delegates did an excellent job thanks to their thorough preparations, broad background knowledge, and public speaking and negotiation skills. Finally, Cui Xinrui from the Department of Diplomacy, CFAU, was awarded the Best Delegate, Lu Zhiyuan from the Department of English and International Studies, CFAU, won the Outstanding Delegate, and Chen Yuan and Wang Xiaoyi were presented with the Honorable Mention and the Best Position Paper, respectively. Moreover, the Excellent Delegation Award was bestowed upon the CFAU delegation due to their outstanding performance.
