He emphasized that China remains committed to strengthening cooperation with the international community, including WHO, and to playing an active role in global health governance, economic development, and foreign assistance. He proposed that both sides take the opportunity of the upcoming International Forum on “Global Health and Sustainable Peace” to accelerate the establishment of the Collaborating Center, leverage their respective strengths, and deliver collaborative outcomes of both theoretical and practical significance.
Mr. Simonian expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended by CFAU and emphasized that WHO highly values its relationship with China. He looked forward to collaborating with the university. He noted that the two sides share common ground on key issues, which provides a solid foundation for long-term, in-depth, and efficient cooperation.
