Diplomatic Advisor to the Serbian President Visits China Foreign Affairs University

Ambassador Ivan Mrkić, diplomatic advisor to the Serbian President visited China Foreign Affairs University on March 31, 2017, accompanied by the Serbian Ambassador to China Milan Bačević. Professor Qin Yaqing, President of CFAU,met with Ambassador Ivan Mrkić and his delegation.  

   

Upon revisiting CFAU, ambassador Ivan Mrkić expressed his delight and recalled his speech given in October last year. With Serbian President’s state visit to China, he was glad that he could take this opportunity to visit CFAU again and push forward the exchanges and collaboration between the Diplomatic Academy of Serbia, Center for Inter-Cultural Dialogue and Mediation (CONFLUX) of the Singidunum University and CFAU.

 

President Qin Yaqing extended his warm welcome to Ambassador Ivan Mrkić and introduced CFAU’s academic collaboration with overseas universities and institutes. Professor Qin pointed out that Ivan Mrkić’s visit would provide a great opportunity for CFAU to strengthen collaboration with European universities, particularly Eastern European universities. In terms of academic exchanges and collaboration, CFAU would like to cooperate with Serbia on substantial plans and programs.

 

Ambassador Ivan Mrkić served as Serbian Foreign Minister from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 onwards, he acted as diplomatic advisor to the Serbian President.
