Teaching and Research I Hu Yonggang, a teacher of the School of International Economics, was invited to give a keynote report at the 16th National Conference on Algebra and to attend the Conference on Algebraic Representation Theory

From November 15 to 20,2023, Professor Hu Yonggang from the School of International Economics attended the 16th National Algebra Conference held at Huaqiao University.

At the conference, Professor Hu Yonggang delivered a keynote report titled "Morphisms Determined by Objects under Galois G-Covering Theory." The presentation focused on characterizing morphisms determined by objects through Galois covering theory, with a categorical analysis of the structure of quasi-split morphisms in orbit categories. Following the session, Professor Hu engaged in in-depth academic discussions with young scholars from Tsinghua University, Peking University, and other institutions, significantly enhancing the academic communitys understanding of his research findings.

The National Algebra Conference is the highest-level and largest-scale academic conference in the field of algebra in China. It provides a good platform for young scholars to exchange and cooperate, and plays a positive role in cultivating high-level talents urgently needed in the field of algebra in the country. During the conference, more than 600 experts and scholars from across the country participated, engaging in brilliant academic discussions on 15 topics including algebraic combinatorics, algebraic number theory, quantum groups, algebraic representation theory, and algebraic coding and cryptography.

This was the second academic event in the mathematics community that Professor Hu recently attended. From November 2 to 5, 2023, Professor Hu Yonggang participated in the academic symposium on Algebraic Representation Theory hosted by Beijing Normal University.

During the conference, Professor Hu Yonggang attended insightful presentations by distinguished mathematicians including Academician Xi Nanhua from the Institute of Systems and Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Academician Zhang Jiping from Peking University; and Academician Sun Binyong from Zhejiang University. He also engaged in in-depth academic exchanges with young scholars from Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, and other institutions.
