Briefing on the Research Seminar on “International Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence” Co-hosted by the School of International Economics and the Office of Information Technology

On the afternoon of November 20, 2025, the China Foreign Affairs University convened a thematic seminar onInternational Cooperation in Artificial Intelligencein Room 250 of the Exhibition Road Campus. The meeting was chaired by Professor Ou Minggang, Dean of the School of International Economics. Attendees included Wang Dayin, Director of the Information Office; Associate Professor He Gang, Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the Community of Shared Future for Mankind Research Center; Li Jinfang from the Information Office; and several faculty members from the School of International Economics.

Professor Ou Minggang expressed gratitude to the Office of Information Technology for its support of the School of Economics and Management in teaching and research. The multiple cutting-edge courses he has developed have significantly contributed to achieving the school's goal of cultivating versatile talents.

Director Wang Dayin outlined the school's recent progress in information technology development, particularly in artificial intelligence infrastructure, and clarified future efforts to provide in-depth support for frontline teaching and research activities.

At the meeting, the two departments focused on issues related to international cooperation on artificial intelligence, concentrating on global AI governance. They engaged in discussions regarding international rule-making, AI cooperation in key regional livelihood sectors, and the boundaries of AI regulation and application.

The School of International Economics will deepen its collaboration with the Office of Information Technology, systematically review existing domestic and international cooperation mechanisms and application scenarios in artificial intelligence, develop tiered and categorized cooperation strategies based on country-specific differences, and jointly advance academic research on issues related tointernational cooperation in artificial intelligence.
