Scholars from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) of Malaysia Visit CFAU

On the morning of June 30, 2026, a delegation of scholars from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) of Malaysia visited our university for academic exchanges on the development of the National Security Index (IKK) and the construction of indicator systems. The delegation consisted of Professor Yarina Ahmad, the project's chief expert; Dr. Mohd Rozi bin Ismail, Research Fellow; and Abdul Qaiyum bin Abdul Razak, Senior Assistant Registrar. The discussion was chaired by Professor Yang Yue, Vice Dean of the School of National Security, with faculty members Wu Lin, Li Fujian and Zhao Xiao participating.

Professor Yarina Ahmad introduced the IKK project designed and implemented by her team. The project directly serves Malaysian government decision-making and has been used as a measurement tool for border security and cross-departmental collaboration.

Professor Yang Yue introduced the basic situation of the School of National Security, noting that in November 2024 the School published the country's first monograph on the security of overseas interests, filling a gap in relevant research. Professor Yang spoke highly of the progress and achievements of the Malaysian IKK project, and introduced the 'Risk Assessment of China's Neighborhood Security' project and concepts related to a holistic approach to national security.
