On September 17, Gao Fei, President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of China Foreign Affairs University, held talks with Zhao Dianlong, President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of China Railway Group Limited (CREC), at the Research Center for a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity, and witnessed the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between the two sides. Li Hongmei, Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of CFAU, and Geng Shubiao, Member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of CREC, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.

President Gao Fei introduced CFAU's educational features and talent cultivation, and offered an analysis of the current international situation. He said that as the main force of national infrastructure construction and the national team for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, CREC boasts strong comprehensive strength, a complete industrial system and business operations across the globe, providing a broad practical platform and application carrier for the University's talent cultivation, discipline development and think tank research. He looked forward to continuously deepening the integration of practical teaching, two-way faculty exchanges, broadening internship and employment channels for students, drawing on CREC's quality practical cases to tell China's stories well, and promoting the deep integration of country and regional studies with the international operations of central enterprises, jointly serving the country's overall opening-up.

President Zhao Dianlong thanked CFAU for its long-standing support to CREC, congratulated the University on its fruitful achievements in cultivating diplomatic talent and serving the country's opening-up, and introduced the enterprise's reform and development as well as its international business. He pointed out that CFAU is the highest institution of learning in China for cultivating diplomatic and foreign affairs talent, with a profound educational heritage and outstanding results in educating people. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, CREC will systematically strengthen its overseas talent team and vigorously cultivate internationalized, interdisciplinary talent. He hoped the two sides would further deepen all-round coordinated cooperation, focus on key areas, share training resources, build platforms for talent recruitment and cultivation, co-build practical training bases and case libraries, broaden channels for matching talent supply and demand, and jointly serve national strategies.

Recently, CREC also organized all trainees of its 2026 'Overseas Talents Program' training class to visit China Foreign Affairs University for study and exchange, where Ambassador Huang Yazhong, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Research Center for a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity, gave a special lecture to all the trainees.

Heads of relevant departments and schools of CFAU, and heads of relevant CREC headquarters departments as well as units including China Railway International Group and China Overseas Engineering Group, attended the above events.
