Under the approval of the university, Sports Exchange and Research Center of China Foreign Affairs University was set up in January 2012. The center is a non-profit public academic organization affiliated to China Foreign Affairs University, which is dedicated to academic research and activities of sports exchange between China and other countries for its further development.
The center’s major tasks are: to carry out teaching and research programs of sports in China and other countries, promote the academic exchange of sports studies between China and other countries, and cooperate in research projects and exchange activities between China and other countries.
Since the founding of the center, it has organized a host of events, to name but a few, “Wushu Carnival for diplomats” (2013), “Sports and Peace: from the Perspective of China and Africa” Academic Seminar and Sino-African Soccer Friendly Match(2014), “Sports and Education: from the Perspective of China and the EU” International Seminar(2015), “International Wushu Conference for Diplomats”(2016), “2016 International Wushu Culture Forum for Foreign Students in China” (2016).
