The 6th China WTO Moot Court Competition was held at the Southwest University of Political Science and Law from 7th to 9th December 2017. Under the instruction of Professor Zang Li and with help from assistant researchers, CFAU undergraduates Zhuang Ruoyun, Cai Huaqing, Zhou Xiaoyi and nine students from the Department of International Law of CFAU- Chen Danyang, Gong Wencong, Huang Jian, Li Rui, Sun Anyi, Wang Dapo, Xu Tianshu, Zhi Guanyi, Zhang Mozhu- won the second group prize in the competition.

The China WTO Moot Court Competition was co-established by the Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL), the China University of Political Science and Law, and the Treaty and Law Division of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China in 2012. In 2015, the WTO Law Research Society of the China Law Society joined the organizing committee. The annual competition has been held for five years and has received a good response. The 2017 competition was co-organized by SWUPL and the WTO Law Research Society of the China Law Society. Many key domestic universities including SWUPL, Xiamen University, Wuhan University and CFAU participated in this competition.
After tough contests with Beijing Foreign Studies University and Wuhan University, the CFAU team won high praise from the experts and judges of the panel and was awarded the second place group prize of the competition.

The competition received great support from the CFAU graduate school and other relevant departments. Sincere thanks are given to those CFAU students who participated in the previous contests for their guidance and help, including Jing Yining, He Shan, Luo Shijing, Lu Yiqiu and Li Qian, and the first grade students from the Department of International Law: Li Kunhua, Jiang Hongyu, Kang Yawen, Zhang Xinyi and Duan Jiayi. We hope that CFAU students will enjoy further successes in future competitions.
