The Asian International Model United Nations (AIMUN) 2018 was held at Zhongguanyuan Global Village, Peking University (PKU), from March 29th to April 1st. Due to their resourcefulness, excellent writing ability, flexibility, and adept problem solving skills, nine delegates from China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) won several awards at AIMUN. Chen Lunming from the Department of English and International Studies (DEIS) and Huang Wanqing from the Department of Diplomacy won the “Best Ambassador” award. Chen Leou from DEIS and Du Sijia from the Department of Foreign Languages were awarded “Best Delegation.” Zhang Donghe from DEIS and Sun Demiao from the Department of Diplomacy won the “Outstanding Delegation” award. Finally, the overall CFAU team was awarded the title of “Best School Delegation.”

The Irish ambassador to China, the Latvian ambassador to China, and representatives from United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in China attended the opening ceremony. The AIMUN 2018 event took place across 11 venues, including one Chinese venue, one main press center, and nine English venues.
