CFAU Convened the 2017 Youth League Committee Working Conference

     On March 15th 2017, China Foreign Affairs University convened the 2017 Youth League Committee Working Conference to review the past work and to assign future tasks. Vice Secretary of CPC China Foreign Affairs University  Committee Ms. Zhang Zhen and more than 60 student representatives, including Youth League Committee and Students’ Union leaders from all grades and majors, attended the conference; Ms. Wang Huadi, Secretary of CFAU Youth League Committee, chaired the conference.

 

First, secretaries from the general branches of the CFAU Youth League in different departments reported their work in 2016. In the past year, all branches displayed considerable vitality and ability in organizing, leading and serving the young and have made substantial steps forward. Vice Secretary of CFAU Youth League Committee Ms. Fang Bo introduced fruitful results in 2016 across the fields ranging from the re-election of CFAU Youth League Committee to the codification of new rules and regulations. In the second part, Secretary Wang Huadi made arrangements for key focuses of work in 2017. Topics including perfecting organizational structure, innovating social practice activities and standardizing Youth League Committee operation were given much attention.

 

 

Then, a solemn yet lively ceremony was held for new members of the Youth League Committee, who made vows to always strive for the great cause of Communism. Secretary Zhang Zhen conferred symbolic Youth League Committee honors on these students. Assistant to Secretary of CFAU Youth League Committee Ms. Hu Xiuhong expressed sincere expectations for the new members, who then responded with resolves reaffirmed.

 

At last, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee Ms. Zhang Zhen made a speech. She highly appreciated the achievements of 2016 and encouraged the Committee members to achieve even more this year. Secretary Zhang emphasized that Youth League Committee members, leaders in particular, should concentrate on cultivating their political senses and improving links with the masses. Ms. Zhang also had in-depth discussions with many young members. She carefully listened to their concerns and gave detailed feedbacks.

The success of this Youth League Committee Working Conference improved the youth to further understand the work of CFAU Youth League Committee, and strengthened the cohesiveness of the group as well as inspired more students to do their parts in this joint effort and progress.
