On the morning of 29th August 2019, Counsellor of the Asian and Oceanian Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Tamura Masami and his delegation visited CFAU. Professor Wang Fan, vice president of CFAU, met with the delegation.
Vice President Wang extended a warm welcome to Counsellor Tamura Masami and his delegation and gave a brief introduction to CFAU. Associate Professor Wu Xiaoping, director of the Foreign Affairs Office, and Yang Ye, deputy director of the Academic Department of the China Diplomatic Academy introduced the diplomatic training programs of CFAU and the China Diplomatic Academy respectively. Counsellor Tamura Masami extended his gratitude to CFAU for the warm reception and expressed his hope for strengthened cooperation in the future. Delegations from both sides then held in-depth discussions on China-US relations, China-Japan relations and other topics.
Counsellor Tamura Masami has served concurrently as the Counsellor of the Minister’s Secretariat and Counsellor of the Asian and Oceanian Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and has been in charge of Korean peninsula affairs since July 2018.
