Brief Introduction

CFAU’s Graduate School was set up in 1979, earlier than those at most other Chinese universities. It offered only  master’s degrees in 1979 then doctoral degrees in 1984 to become one of the first Chinese universities authorized to offer master’s and doctoral Degrees in international relations and diplomacy. During the past 30 years, CFAU has established a distinct and well-balanced education system, with international relations and diplomacy as leading disciplines, and foreign languages, international law and international economics as key disciplines. CFAU has achieved tremendous progress in developing key disciplines, training personnel and promoting student employment. By August 2016, the total number of enrollments reached 3,493 -- 262 doctoral students and 3,231 graduate students. CFAU has 18 supervisors for doctoral students and 114 supervisors for master’s students.
