The Round-table Conference on Asian Regionalism and an Evolving World Held in CFAU

The Institute of Asian Studies at the Zhanlanguan Road Campus of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) hosted a round-table conference titled Asian Regionalism and an Evolving World was held by on November 22nd, 2017. Renowned scholars were invited to attend the conference, including Prof. Mark Beeson from the University of Western Australia, Prof. Richard Stubbs from Macmaster University in Canada, Associate Prof. Stephen R. Nagy from International Christian University of Japan and well known experts in Asian affairs from CFAU, as well as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The attendees had in-depth and heated discussions about the latest development in the theories and practices concerning Asian regionalism. Guo Yanjun, Director of the Institute of Asian Studies delivered an opening speech, and Yang Yue, Deputy Director of the Institute of Asian Studies, chaired the meeting.


The conference also witnessed the release of the Chinese version of Routledge Handbook of Asian Regionalism, which was translated and compiled by researchers from the Institute of Asian Studies.

After the conference, Qin Yaqing, President of CFAU, met with and shared observations with foreign experts.
