Students from CFAU International Economics School Win Prestigious Prizes in Chinese National Math Competition

The 9th Chinese Mathematics Competition and the 28th Beijing University Mathematics Competition’s Beijing preliminaries were held on 28th October 2017, attracting 6284 participants from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beihang University, the Beijing Institute of Technology, the University of International Business and Economics, the Central University of Finance and Economics and China Foreign Affairs University, to name just a few.


Lin Yukang, Liu Yuxin, Wu Shihang, Miao Ying and Li Lexuan, all from the School of International Economics, took part in the contest under Mrs Yang’s careful guidance and performed well in the competition. Lin Yukang and Liu Yuxin won first prize in the 28th Beijing University Mathematics Competition (Group C). Wu Shihang, Miao Ying, Li Lexuan, Lu Liting and Ye Jinchen won the second prize. Wen Jiahao, Wang Yuke, He Yuxiao, Lu Jian, Chen Huiling and Yan Binyang won the third prize. Liu Yuxin won the second prize in the 9th Chinese Mathematics Competition (Non-Mathematical Class) in the Beijing contest zone, while Wu Shihang, Miao Ying, Ye Jinchen, Li Lexuan, Yang Yujie, Lin Yukang and Lu Liting won the third prize.
